Wonderful!
This was our second trip to Club Med Cancun.
We are two families with children age 1-7yo.
We stayed in the Aquamarina suites. This is great because all of the rooms face the ocean and they are quite spacious. The family suite has 2.5 baths and 2 bedrooms. We wouldn't usually choose to stay on the main floor but here it was great because you can walk out right onto a small beautiful beach to watch sunrise. Was also great for us to be main floor beside each other so kids could run back and forth between our patios.
The rooms definitely could use an upgrade - they smell a bit mouldy and the bathroom fixtures/grout etc are in need of a refresh. This would normally really bother me but everything else was great I overlooked it to go back.
The other wonderful part about Aquamarina is that they have their own infinity pool. It is really family friendly. There were always chairs available around the pool and on the little beach there.
There is no restaurant directly int he Aquamarina area. There is a bar with some little snacks, fruit and a crepe station from 3-5pm but other than that you have to go to the main buffet or the Mexican restaurant which is fairly close by.
You get around the resort by walking or taking a shuttle. The shuttle comes really often so was never a problem for us.
The bigger beach is near the main lobby and is beautiful. We did not have a seaweed issue like you usually get in Cancun. They clear it in the morning and it is well maintained all day long.
The food is delicious - not your typical all inclusive buffet food at all. They make an effort to have different dishes every night. Most items are made fresh in front of you. One amazing staff made my picky eater a fresh pepperoni pizza at dinner almost every night and did it with such a smile! For breakfast they have a fresh avocado toast station, an egg station, in addition to all the other things you might expect. At dinner it changes every night and there are so many good options. The steakhouse was good but you need a reservation. We went twice. We always had lunch at Taco Arte and it is such a beautiful setting overlooking the water - there is a fresh salad bar where someone mixes up a salad for you, delicious paella, tacos. Live music. Wonderful staff. No one got sick.
We did not use the kids club for babysitting so cannot comment but our kids went to visit it a number of times and enjoyed the water slides, trapeeze, etc.
The staff are overall really kind, friendly.
Do not expect a very americanized all inclusive experience (ie no room service, no servers delivering you drinks all the time, etc), it really is more of an active, healthy vibe which we enjoyed.
We loved it enough to go twice!

Amazing Family Stay at ClubMed Cancun
We just returned from a fantastic family vacation at ClubMed Cancun and couldn’t be more pleased with our stay! The Aquamarina building, where we stayed, was perfect for our family. The family room was spacious, comfortable, and very well laid out with separate bedroom (and bathroom) for the kids.
A special shout-out to the Aquamarina reception staff who were so helpful throughout our stay, making sure all our needs were met. The kids had an amazing time at the kids' club, and we were especially impressed with how wonderful the staff was with our 1.5-year-old son. They were kind, patient, and really made him feel at ease.
The new kids’ club building is a huge upgrade! It's bright, airy, and has plenty of great spaces for kids to explore and enjoy. Our children loved the new water slides – they were a huge hit with them.
Overall, we had an unforgettable experience, and we would highly recommend ClubMed Cancun for families looking for a fun, relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to return!
