Guilin China

We travelled with kids between 9-11 years old and the elderly, that is over 80. Everything in the resort was excellent and the GO team was very friendly and helpful to ensure our stay was problem-free and comfortable. Debra has been an exceptional sports manager in making the night event lively and the kids love hanging around her.

The centralized air-conditioning would be the only drawback on this stay. Although it has entered early winter and we understand that we can open the window throughout the night, however, it was still relatively warm in the middle of the night and wake us up multiple times due to that (despite turning the air-conditioner that has been centralized to warm room mode). It would be great to allow us to control the air-conditioner temperature. Besides that, everything else is excellent in Club Med Guilin.

We had the most wonderful stay at Club Med Guilin from 25th to 29th September, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Guilin, this resort offered the perfect blend of nature, adventure, relaxation, and warmth.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and incredible hospitality. The food was absolutely delightful—every meal was a celebration of flavors, beautifully presented and thoughtfully curated. We were spoiled for choice and quality. Good job to the restaurant team!
The activities were a highlight of our stay. We loved biking through the scenic paths, taking invigorating mountain walks, practicing yoga in serene surroundings, trying our hand at archery, enjoying karaoke, and so much more. Each activity was well-organized and led by passionate G.Os who made every moment fun and memorable.

The territory of the hotel is beautiful, rooms are very nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food options are a bit limited and we found most of the main dishes very oily, would be great to add a bit more European dishes, but the staff is very supportive and attentive. Very big and nice pool, activities are wonderful and very well managed. All the excursions we’ve done were super entertaining and enjoyable, especially the buggy cars and horse riding. All in all we had a great time!

Guilin is a beautiful Club Med Resort with all of the usual Club Med benefits and features. Service is great, rooms are beautiful. I liked seeing the concept of the Seniors Club for grandparents who also got to enjoy their day without families! Tours are fantastic outside of the resort. Spa is well priced and beautiful. Downsides - english at the resort isn't big however all GOs make an effort and you can find a handful of english speaking GOs if you run into trouble. This is unusual for a club med. Pool is only open mornings and evenings as Asian families don't like sun. You can work around it easily enough however for Aussie families this is a downside. You can use the indoor pool. The spa is probably the best I have ever experienced. Such a beautiful location, and there are great sports activities that get you out of the resort. All in all, I would highly recommend.
