Tomamu Hokkaido Japan

We had a great family trip at the Club Med Tomamu recently, a couple of things to mention

1. The location of the Club Med Tomamu is about a 2-hour drive from the CTS airport. We rented a car at the Toyota Rent A Car, and drove to the Club Med. As it was during winter, we drove at a slow speed.
2. The room size is decent, and yes, the room are not a shiny brand new as it had been couple of year agos, but it is clean, functional, and comfortable in Japanese high standard
3. The food was fine, you basically never run out of food, drinks as it is all inclusive in your package, and if you opted for more premium choices, you will have a wider range of food options and drinks
4. The ski school, this had been the highlight for us as beginners, my 2 young kids were enjoyed the ski lessons, especially thanks to the coach Vilards, who had been patient and taught me well in the 2-day lessons for me to pick up fast
5. surrounding - you will get a free shuttle bus to travel to Hoshino resort, and within the package, that include the gondola ride to the top of the mountain, which was very nice view (but cold). But as club med experience, you need to expect that you will be in the resort for the next X days basically

what i think can be improved

1. the ski school lesson for the kids were a bit confusing in term of registrastion -> renting the equipments and transfer to the ski classroom
2. i think the Club Med Tomamu is a bit lacking in staff. But all the staff were very friendly and were all willing to help you when needed. a big thanks to all the staffs

Family vacation to Club Med Tomamu. All staff were warm and welcoming. Just to mention a few here - Athena (snow trekking), Emil (ski lesson), Jenna, Lukdovic and Maya (ski pro shop).

our instructor athena is very patient and encouraging. she always checked up on me and made sure i was okay. she even offered me and the rest to help take pictures at her our recommended places. shes suupppperrrrr nice and cheerful. she definitely made my experience way better! just to mention a few - emil (ski lesson), jenna, lukdovic and maya (ski pro shop.)

First time at Club Med Tomamu and it was an interesting experience. Also thanks to our snowboard instructor, Neus who took us for in the afternoon although we did not know we were needed to come for the morning session as well. She was patient and very positive throughout and our group truely enjoyed her coaching!

We have had a fantastic start to our stay at Club Med Tomamu! The facilities are excellent, the food is exceptional, and the staff are incredibly polite and welcoming. The skiing experience today was the highlight - special thanks to our instructor, Jake, who was amazing with our entire family. He trained both adults and our two children (ages 9 and 12) with great patience and skill, making sure everyone felt confident and had fun on the slopes. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this resort to families looking for a perfect winter getaway!
